1st April - Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been struck down with gastro.... the dogs are doing well and my family have stepped up and looked after them so well.
As you can see from the pics if you cant get your paw up to scratch it then a morning roll in the grass is wonderful !

2nd April - A long but rewarding night , the lovely Bronze Salix had her pups overnight she is one of the only dogs I have seen that on being praised wags her tail whilst pushing! At the end of the night she has a family of 10.
3rd April - a noisy nite with all pups wanting attention at once, mums milk supply increasing rapidly. Mum doing well eating huge amounts.

5th April - a quieter night last night, pups have all gained weight and are doing well. Mum is sleeping alot today and tending to her babies.... eating very well and happy to be quiet with her babies.
6th April - Mum coming out for some meals now with the others....cant wait for room service. Pups are growing and doing well, mums milk is continuing to increase to cope with demands. This pic taken when mum was out for a toilet stop.
7th April - What better way to spend a wet cold day than snuggled together in a warm bed. Mum still feeding them constantly and they continue to grow.
11th April - Sorry for delay in update of this site, a busy few days at Lukilab. Pups are growing fast and doing well. Mum developed a touch of mastits and commenced on antibiotics and is starting to recover well. This pic taken this morning after second breakfast and bedding change.
13th April - Pups this morning after bedding change, sleeping in a pile when mum is out at breakfast is the latest trend ! As you can see growing fast now, hard to believe they are 11 days old, eyes still closed as is normal..wont be long though before they are open and the fun begins. Pups had their nails clipped yesterday to protect mums flanks. Mum is well in herself though still has a slight infection in one boob, expressing, pups and antibiotics helping. Busy day on the phone also, now only one chocolate boy remains to find a good home.
19th April- Sorry for the lack of updates. Mum dog has had a hard week sadly the mastitis became more severe and she needed to go to the vet several times and eventually stayed whilst cultures were done to isolate the bacteria and find the best drug to treat this problem. I was going in 3-4 times a day to assist with pups and reassure Mum that all was ok ( and myself) anyway yesterday she had improved and was able to come home. Still monitoring and expressing 3 hourly nite and day as well as giving meds and food and changing bedding 2-3 times a day as pups becoming a bit messier. Anyway now she is catching up on sleep and good food and hopefully all will be a memory in another few days.
30th April - Pups this morning with a new toy to investigate....played with this on and off for over an hour...now asleep tuckered out. Pups are having three meals a day still hand fed to make sure all get their fair share.
2nd May - Busy few days meeting new puppy families and tending to dogs of all sizes. Our new pups are indeed lucky labs, their new families are delightfull
